I think this film was almost as awesome as Europa Report.

OK - there were some things that the astronauts did which were questionable (especially in the beginning - playing with an alien creature with rubber gloves?). Or near the end, thinking that they could kill it with oxygen deprivation, given that it had no difficulty surviving in the outer space? Or the Japanese scientist - doing what he did near the end??

Still, the acting was great - the emotional moments were very well acted out. So, while I think Europa trumps this film in terms of script, this film is much better than Prometheus where the acting/script were much worse.

I thought it was pretty good even though I could see the ending coming. It took a little while to get into; some silly scenes like the first rescue attempt, and questionable dialog. But once people started dying the crew reactions pulled me in. Also, the body horror was great! It's rare a genre film leaves me feeling nauseaus (in a good way, not from bad shaky-cam).

Europa Report was much better crafted in many respects but this is still worth a watch I think.
