They do this with so many shows and movies, and they all bomb.
Why? Because as the election showed, most whites loathe PC, and sticking in a black is the height of PC.
What happened to black Annie, black Ironside, black Magnificent 7? BOMBED. This will disappear too.
Haven't seen the show yet, although planing.
Just this: white, black main actor? Who cares? Is he good or not?
If he is good then great. If he is bad and the show it's bad ... ok, who cares? If the show it's good and he is bad and obviously gotten then role due to his skin color than i would agree with you.
So which one is it?
Most of the people in the CTU are still white.
I find it quite credible the main protagonist is a Black veteran who actually started out in the 'hood.
I find nothing blatantly offensive about the casting and writing, it's just a tad boring to me now.
Well, I discovered "24" way after the whole series ended and then just binge watched them - all - in about 3 weeks total.
This format all depends on every episode cliffhangers and almost impossible situations and that's a hard thing to pull-off consistently.
black and white never crossed my mind. The fact is we are all just use to keith and its hard to live up to bad ass Jack was. Its like borne legacy ... they tried.... But a Borne flick isnt a Borne flick with out Matt Damon. Its hard to intro us to something new without easing us into it. Maybe if we got a season where keith passed the torch ... would have made it easier...just my opinion
