sharePathetic. He starts an interesting series, needlessly sandbags it with unnecessary side-plots but, despite that, everyone watches and praises it, and now he jacks it in because supposedly not enough viewers?
And now he’s making a film about... Herman Mankowitz? Look, I’m sure it’ll be a decent flick and Oldman has some draw, but how many people are going to watch a b&w movie about some ancient Hollywood exec?
Meanwhile everyone wants Mindhunter back and he and Netflix are like ‘yeah... nah’
He needs to do another film or a tight series about serial killers - that’s where Fincher excels. Even another thriller like Gone Girl would be a slam dunk.
I LOVE most of his films, but I think Social Network is his best. I wouldn’t mind seeing him try something like that again.

honestly best show on air right now. production values up the wazoo. this is atrocious.
It's a shame. I've just watched this for a second time. It's a really good show.
Nice to see a cop show that offers something different.
I hope the decision makers change their minds.
I hope he leaves Netflix and returns to entertain general public.
