I would imagine he has had this same attitude with other vicitims too. I can't see this being isolated incidents. Didn't at one point he actually cut the interview short when they were talking to him? I remember somebody had come in to drop off files I think. They got in the frame and he just looked at them funny like he was thinking "who the hell are you to interrupt my interview".
He gave me the creeps for sure.
I think I may watch this again though so I have a clearer understanding. I would be curious what his daughters and wife thought about how he came across.
I also wonder if he has ever been investigated for anything surrounding previous investigations

Someone was shuffling around on the edge of the frame while he was talking and he said "move". I actually thought that part was funny. Could the person not see the big camera and camera crew filming or hear the interview going on? Just walks right into the shot lol

shareI agree with all of your posts and want to add that God forbid if anything like that should ever happen to his own daughters, and see what his reaction would be then. Until you experience the terror of sexual assault, you cannot know the utter devastation that it has on the survivor, as well as family and friends. What he said was utterly moronic and blatantly misogynistic. The injustices surrounding the culture of rape, or sexual assault continues to be perpetuated thanks to complete dolts like the sheriff. But how many more of these bastards hold office and are part of law enforcement everywhere in our culture? More than we realize, I'm afraid.
shareI am glad to see that I was not the only person who felt this way about that "Sheriff". He was appallingly biased and full of BS. At first I thought I was looking at a caricature at how he was answering the questions but he was 100% serious! Unfortunately the majority of that town has proven themselves to be deplorable and lacking of morals so I am not surprised if he remains Sheriff.
shareI think they should have removed that Sheriff from office right away from comments like that. Who knows how many other crimes people got away with it under his watch because of his attitude? But he probably does reflect the attitude of the town that he lived in seeing as all of those people were harassing the victims to the point where they had to leave the town, and with leadership like that who can blame them?
