Uh oh. Winslet called her nudity “f*cking brave”
That’s code for women we don’t want to see naked getting naked.

It’s Kate Winslet. We’ve already seen her naked. It’d be more surprising if she didn’t have a nude scene.
shareTrue but at this point she needs to stop.
But her attitude makes it seem like this is “Fuck you!” nudity in retaliation to perceived slights from early in her career. So seems like she’ll keep doing it.
But I wish actresses would make up their damn minds when it comes to female nudity after metoo.
Is it “demeaning” to all women or “brave” and/or “empowering”?
It's a stupid stunt, completely irrelevant in a movie about a war correspondent.
shareThere's an actual photo of Lee Miller and her friends topless at lunch. That was their lifestyle, and it's relevant to establish her personality and lack of inhibitions.
shareYeah, it places her in the bohemian art scene of France just before the war, and lets you know those people will not fare well when the Nazi's take over.
shareIt is brave at her age and you're right.
