This didn't feel like a war movie

More like when we were kids and playing soldier.

Not for me. The aerial sequences in particular felt like it was very realistic (not that I never experienced it for myself) but they were free of the usual glorification of air battles in movies and very raw. I really appreciated it.

For you

Dunkirk actually happened in real life. A war movie is something based on a true story. I guess stick with Iwo Jima and those kinds of war movies.

It's not a war movie, it's just an orgy of explosions and bullets. I was very disappointed in Nolan especially after he gave us 6 amazing films right in a row. I am very skeptical now about Tenet.

Nope I’m describing Dunkirk. And as bad as Pearl Harbor was I gotta hand it to Bay for at least trying to tell a story (which he failed at) and hell there wasn’t any action until like an hour in or so.
