Really it was just OK. To me it felt like a big production Sci Fy Channel Monster film with better actors than usual..I do not get what the fuzz is about..

It was overhyped caused it was kinda supposed to be a different movie. They were going to go for a hard R rating for this one at first but then they pulled back last minute in order to score more box office bucks from 13 year olds. Statham and the director were very unhappy about it.

Yeah that is why I did find the Piranha 3d film from a few years back a lot more fun (I am talking about the 1st one not the horrible sequel) It was very uncompromising with its violence this one played it super safe to appeal to the little ones.
shareIt was overhyped, but then what movie today isn't overhyped as the "best (insert movie genre here) film" ever made? What movie studio is going to say "This movie is only okay. See it if you want to" I thought it was an okay shark film (To me, Jaws is still the grand master of shark films).
