Even the first Transformers in 2007 showed that Megatron landed in the 1800's looking for the Allspark that was already on Earth.
shareThis movie ignores Bays movies with the exception of a couple of homages, its made clear in this movie that in 1987, it is the first time Bumblebee or any Transformer has been to Earth.

shareThey only timeframe problem that bugs me is they made a BIG deal about Bumblebee's secret history in the last Transformers film. That's a pretty bold faced retcon to swallow. I'm real curious to see if that's addressed at all.
