They should have ended the series on the high note they had from part 7, but instead they turn out this below average borefest.

They must have since 9 and 10 have been announced and given release dates. Plus they are saying that 8, 9, and 10 is a planned trilogy. So they must have something going on. At least "blueprints" for each movie.

What are you looking for? Oscar performances and scripts, or to be entertained? I'm not franchise fan. I've only seen part 1 and one of the middle movies, I don't even know which. I was thoroughly entertained.

It was just more of the same and that can become very tiring. There is a reason that film series don't go this far. The first six (not counting 2 Fast 2 Furious because that film is beyond awful) are really fun films, but this one depends too much on Vin Diesel without Paul Walker to back him up. If they had focused on The Rock and Statham, I think that the film would have been better.
