What's up with the rating?

I thought it was a great. I mean it was a little long, but it was really good and funny.

I thought it was alright but there was a lot of cringe worthy moments in the movie for my taste so I gave it a 5 out of 10. I can understand if others weren't into it.

Lee simply remains a sophomoric director. Heavy handed symbolism, mawkish sentimentality and dreadful pacing. The only way Lee is capable of raising the pitch of anything is through one of his many moronic declarations to the press or handing out erroneous addresses.

It's at 5.7/10 now and I think that's a fair rating, maybe even a couple notches to high, I'd say 5.5/10.

It's mostly decent but it has some truly cringeworthy moments and it has a bit of a identity crisis, slapstick comedy one second serious drama the other and satire next and so forth.

And the constant rhyming often takes away from the flow in the cast's performances.

That said it's a step up from DA SWEET BLOOD OF JESUS but it's definitly not one of Spike Lee's better films.

Sometimes it's better to keep the genie in the bottle.

Because the *beep* is whack, that's why.

I mean sure there were some decent points made with the monologues some characters gave, but overall it was pretty damn ridiculous, even as a "satire" (which actually ISN'T an excuse to cover up its structural flaws and narrative stupidness, Spike and fans).
