I've just finished the latest episode's of Arrow, Flash and Supergirl. From my understanding LOG season 1 does not crossover and not sure if it's worth watching due to the general poor reviews/ratings.
Without spoilers, can anyone convince me that I should watch LOG?
Legends Of Tommorow indeed do crossover into Flash & Green Arrow! In fact, it is a spin-off of both shows. Well, technology Arrow since in the CW "Universe" the Flash was spinned-off of The Green Arrow. Furthermore, The Flash has already crossed-over into Supergirls universe. Implicating Arrow & Legends.
Oh sorry, you meant season 1 will appear to be autonomous from the up-coming season 2! Well, I don't know about that but I seriously doubt it. None of these CW super-hero shows have proceded without involving their past episodes. In fact, they shoot like Soap Operas. Very similar to the Smallville format.
POOR REVIEWS!!! Legends Of Tomorrow is, in my opinion, the best superhero show on! That includes SHIELD. Legends is what a superhero show should be. Fast-tracked, humerous & exciting. And big SEs. It reminds me of The Empire Strikes Back. It doesn't bog down in personal relationships. Or get too caught-up in technical scenes.
I'd watch it. There's nothing else like it on television , a spinoff show that takes a few side characters from two shows and throws them together on a timeship in a crazy time traveling adventure. If you've watched all of Flash and Arrow then I'd highly recommend at least trying it. It's a humorous action packed ride, and although sometimes the time travel 'rules and consequences' can be confusing or not make sense, even the characters sometimes crack jokes about how crazy it is.
You're asking a pretty biased group. For a first season it's less rocky than most. The graphics are amazing esp for a tv show. It's worth watching five or so episodes. It's a small commitment and it will give you an idea of what it is about.
The first season of Legends was better than Supergirl S1 and Arrow S4, so if you could get through those then I'd say give it a shot. It takes a little bit to find its footing, the first few episodes are pretty bland for the most part. I'd say it picks up a bit with episode 6 when they visit Starling in 2046. One aspect I have to point out is the development for Captain Cold/Heatwave. They go through a tremendous amount of character growth, to the point that they're 2 of the best characters in the Arrowverse now.
It's only 16 episodes so it's not much to commit to. I'd give S1 a 7/10. You got the standard bs love triangles that bogs it down (it's atrocious here. Kendra/Hawkgirl is on Felicity levels of terrible.) Oh and the guy they got to replace Robbie Amell as Firestorm sucks.
Eps 1-5 = 6/10 Eps 6-9 = 7.5/10 Eps 10-13 = 6/10 (I only liked the Jonah Hex episode) Eps 14-16 = 8/10 - shows the potential it has.
Honestly... have you seen Smallville? I'd just watch that instead. This is ok, but Flash is the only good thing about the Arrowverse anymore.
I gave it a second chance and it isn't that bad. It's short with only sixteen episodes and the storyline is straightforward. The only problem overall is the acting and Wentworth Miller's is especially atrocious.
Smallville sucks. Even Arrow is better than Smallville.
Wentworth Miller the worst? He's the least of the shows problems, especially with the "acting" from the actors playing the new Firestorm, the Hawks, the character assassination of Ray Palmer by Kendra Saunders, and the bland Vandal Savage. In fact Miller was one of the more consistently praised aspects about the show.
It's not a bad show by any means, but it doesn't really capitalize on its potential until the final 3 episodes. It has a rough start and it takes a while to find its footing. Once the show got to Star City 2046, it picked up. I liked the marooned storyline material, the trip to Nanda Parbat, Jonah Hex, and the Mick/Leonard storyline. Everything else was pretty much subpar. Like I said before, the final 3 gave me hope for S2, that they realized what worked and what didn't and are gonna improve the show going forward. I'll watch S2 because I feel like with the potential, that it can't be worse than S1.
Smallville sucks. Even Arrow is better than Smallville.
Arrow has become almost unbearable. Reckoning, Memoria, Shattered, Rosetta, Homecoming, Absolute Justice, Commencement, Crusade, Red, Onyx, Phantom, Bizarro, Salvation. No other CB show can touch Smallville at its best, besides maybe The Flash. Arrow has only a few exceptional standouts, comprised of only S1/2 episodes. S3 is at best average and 4 is a complete waste of 23 episodes. One of the worst seasons of CB television I've watched, simply because of how boring it was. Smallville at its worst, seasons 7/8, the positives still outweighed the negatives. The only positives about S4 of Arrow were Neal McDonough (and he was wasted) and Constatine's single appearence.

Seriously? If not for Smallville there'd be NO arrow , or the flash , or LoT. Maybe a supergirl still but really? Arrow? Lmbo! Smallville will definitely leave Arrow in the dust especially the last 2 seasons.

Yes you should watch it, if you like action/fantasy/comedy/thriller. It does slide on the surface most of the time, but the action is great. It has also interesting characters, if you'd liked season 2 of Arrow, you can appreciate to see at least in one of these DC shows, a kick ass female character, that was killed on Arrow but brought back for this show.
