More of a kids movie

But enjoyable.

I has hopping for something more but well, I was entertained ...

Anyway I think it is better than GB2. And way better than GB 2016 ...

I don't think it's a great movie, or even a good one really, but I sort of think it's hard for any Ghostbusters III to actually top GB2 at this point as far as sequels to the first film go; for all it's faults it's still the right cast at more or less the right place and time. I didn't think this was a particularly good movie anyway, but for me the odds were stacked against it.

Well the problems where they waited thirty years too long to do a third movie to the point where Ramis is no longer around, the other guys are too old, a new instalment to the franchise need a young blood and the filmmakers knew it.

reply

Young blood, sure. But kids?

Why use the grandkids instead of using the ... daughter (or a son, or whatever)?

I mean a sequel will still be with the kids, unless we wait another 20-30 years for the sequel and for them to grow ...

reply

Jason Reitman did he had a vision of a little girl with a proton pack, when Ramis died he thought she's his grand daughter.

With the kids it really doesn't matter it's the script that matters.

McKenna Grace has gotten taller since they filmed it, he's like 15 now.

reply

Someone should have told him that 99% of "visions" one has are shit.

reply

Oh no, not.....kids.

I pretty much agree with you except I would say I liked it a bit more. By the end I was thinking: This movie was a bit too slow, it packed in a bit too many cute references to the original...BUT By the end it worked and it left me hoping for sequels.
