What bothers you the most about this show?

What gets on your nerves the most?

To me:

- Make up. So we have smart people who also need to go through a lot of physical challenges and exercises to be a great 'agent' and then you have every girl looking like she just came to compete on America's next top model, full up make up all the freaking day. It's a small thing, but I'm still really bothered with that.

- Random stories, like Shelby sleeping with Caleb's father. Like wth? It's so stupid.

- Poorly developed characters, every problem they put up with these characters they just make it high schoolish. It's just so hard to take it seriously.

- Dialogue is terrible, again Gossip girl kind of thing.

- The expected unexpected twists. You know like when you watch a movies and it's been done that way for about 237856278 times and you just know the ending already? Same thing here. People that show nice side are actually not nice, people that are badass in the beginning show a soft side and so on...

I could literally go on till tomorrow. There is so many plot holes that I can't even count.

This show had potential to be something really good, if they just put a little bit more thinking in it.
I like the cast, probably the only good thing about the show, acting is more than decent but the storylines are just so lame.

Nothing against people liking it, I'm just putting it out there.

The fact when natalie got blown up, then she wasn't in the flashbacks at quantico no more at all, no mention of promoted early just erased. from that episode it just got slopper and slopper to the point i didnt watch invested anymore. so many plot holes its a joke. reminds me of heroes for the holes.

reply

They mention that she can leave quantico to go back to fight for custody over her child and return when she's done, I at least expected her to show up agin by the end of the season at their graduation or something.

reply

Everybody seems to be banging each other like some sort of Melrose Place drama. Not enough on suspense on terrorism/FBI plots.
The over uses of flashbacks are the most annoying. It's hard to follow the present storyline when every few mins, it has to show what happened in training years.

Overall, this show really stinks. I can't believe it was ranked this high. I doubt I will be watching season 2.

reply

i doubt most will really...it just went crazy with everyone banging then going heartless, shelby was the worst it gave no reason at all....even to the spanish one getting with quinn i will not be watching thats for sure

reply

I've been trying to stick with it just to see how it plays out. But my god the actress playing Alex is just so awful, with the worst american accent I have ever heard.

The episode I have just watched had Alex and Simon snatching the CIA asset. Then they escape in a white van. She tells the guy not to worry as Simon caused a power outage and so there would be lots of white vans. Cue several vans passing each other on the road in an area where there were barely any properties :D . Basically they insult the viewers intelligence every chance they get.

reply

lool. i dislike and still watch alot of shows....but this 100 per cent was so offensive with the spanish girl who died then she died in flashbacks for no reason just that she blew up. no reasoning just that they f'd up. she also got into the fbi and moved in with the secret quantico agent, totally forgot she had a kid.

it gets worse and worse no spoilers, i actually stopped on the last two episodes and left it for a few weeks thats how pissed i was didnt care about ending and silly twists

That actress you claim is so bad--she's actually pretty good in the role, and the main reason I wanted to see the show---has been a huge star in her native India for a decade now---I already knew who she was before the show came on, and have seen a couple of movies she was in. Obviously she dosen't have an American accent, but that dosen't make her a bad actress at all.

reply

I don't think her accent is what makes her a bad actress. Lupita Nyong'o speaks with an accent and she's amazing. Same with Penelope Cruz and Marion Cotillard. Priyanka is very pretty but she's just terrible and wooden. Maybe she's a better actress in her own dialect (Hindi?). She's not alone in being awful though, they're all pretty unwatchable.

reply

Priyanka is over dramatic on every point. Indian movies have lot of musicals and they are good in them, maybe she has to do something instead. She questions her trainers like shes the boss. She was badgering the supervisors when in custody to find the 2nd bomb. They pass off her accent as been living in India so that is ok, unless she went to India later after being born in the US, if she went after age 4, she would not have an accent. Thats how accents work, with experience. If you learn 2 languages early age you wont have an accent or hardly one for either language.

Nothing is proven real.

reply

Stop kidding yourself, she is terrible!

I've seen Priyanka in Bollywood films and she's good... in Bollywood films. That overacting that is so grating in her performance in this show is pretty standard in Bollywood movies, and for some reason in Indian cinema it just works. When everyone is overacting, it's like no one is overacting, and you don't notice it as much because it's all ridiculous and they aren't pretending it's otherwise.

But Priyanka's acting just doesn't transfer well here. Western film and TV is rather particular about more realistic dialogue (you know, it's not always written or acted well, but the goal is generally to be more realistic.) I mean every Indian film is also a musical, so.

I like Priyanka as a Bollywood actress but I think she has a long way to go as a Hollywood actress.

reply

The acting I would say. And the script. And the way they film it. The casting sucks aswell. Its sucks pretty much in every way but in that order.

reply

Just Alex/the actress who plays her. I can gloss over everything else, but she really gets on my nerves.

so bollocks is bad, but dogs bollocks is good?

reply

The Alex character really ruins the show.

reply

This is sooo true, Alex character is a freakin super CRY BABY, almost every episode she is crying. Agent character should be tough and the director is allowing this as if it's a teen love story..

reply

Love your sig line! Such an underrated movie!

As for Quantico, this show blows. The flashbacks, the constant boincing back and forth, seriously annoying.
That and they're all humping like rabbits in spring time. Adds nothing to the show. Too much BS personal drama and very little plot.

reply

Oh boy... Where do I even begin with this?

1) The cast of this show both male and female could all easily get a role on Baywatch. Too bad they have worst acting skills.

2) The entire FBI training made no sense what so ever. Not only did it have nothing to do with the skills they used on the show, nor did any of the classes make any sense (you need to expose another student's secret? What if he doesn't have any?) but also most of the classes taught the exact opposite of what they should have.

Half of the classes were basically teaching them to be corrupt cops. For example, they are being taught that covering up for the failures of your partner is more important than upholding the law (Remember why Simon almost got kicked out?).

Another lesson had them failing every single student who had the brains to run away from a bomb (possibly warning other nearby people and saving their lives) while giving a passing grade to idiots who stayed near it because...? Seriously what are they being rewarded from? They even gave up on trying to defuse the bomb. They are being rewarded for committing suicide for no reason. All the people who were in should have been kicked out, not the other way around.

3) The flashback structure. I didn't have a problem tracing the back and forth thing, but it became really tiring and the whole thing has been done to the death. Lost didn't invent it and it was used before, but after Lost we got Once Upon a Time, Revolution, Arrow, Alcatraz, Orange is the New Black and so many other shows that the format is super tiresome already.

Not to mention the fact that they make no sense how they perfectly match the present and the flashback. Alex and Ryan love each other in the past and present and in the next episode they hate each other at both. Makes no sense.

4) The horrible dialogue and what's even worse is the unbelievable technobabble they try to toss in. A computer that sets itself on fire if you run too many programs?!?

5) The fact that the FBI people on this show make the guys in The Following look like competent masterminds. How the heck is Alex better than everyone at the FBI? They have more experience, more resources and are presumably who trained her yet she manages to run from the law for so long (without even bothering to change her appearance for crying out loud) then manages to sneak past them every 5 minutes. So dumb.

6) And of course, the fact that the entire mystery sucked big time.
Based on comments here and in other places, most people were betting on Liam or Miranda solely because they are teachers and are the "expect the unexpected" thing.

If you're telling me the show really planned who it's going to be, I'm going to laugh in your face. Heck, at an interview, the creators said all actors were thought they were the mastermind. Just goes to show you that there was never any smoking gun. This show had not even attempted to learn from Knox.

In other words, there was never any point to even try and figure it out nor would it be possible to and that is what ruins any show based on a mystery.

reply

So true about your comment on Baywatch! I have long noticed the number of scenes in almost every episode where they show off both female and male bodies and the characters peeking and commenting on the looks of other trainees. The series seemed to be set in some California swimming pool or beach with non-stop pop music. FBI training must be much fun.

reply

Priyanka Chopra is in Baywatch with Rock aka Dwayne Johnson lol

reply

As the show goes on, Ryan gets more and more ugly.

reply

He has Kevin Federline face. He just looks greasy, flushed and inbred to me, and I think we're supposed to find him super attractive? Like, Blair Underwood is over 50 and he's 1000x better-looking. Whenever they're in a scene together, I'm always thinking how it's funny Ryan is the one we're meant to be looking at. And I also thought Simon was hotter than Ryan last season, and he was supposed to be the dork, so go figure? I don't know why Alex didn't just ditch Ryan and go for him instead.

reply

I'm changing my answer. What bothers me most is that they still list the show as being a drama. I wish they would acknowledge that it's a sitcom.

reply

Agree with you. I've seen only 3 episodes and will not continue watching. I think it insults the FBI. Did they have a consultant on board? This is like a daytime soap. The sex scene in the car in the 1st episode was absurd. Doggie-style with no protection and no clean-up afterwards? That told me how bad this series was going to be.
