Why not have a series with a functional nuclear family

Doesn't fit in with the cultural marxism propaganda does it?

reply

Yeah ! Let's go back to I love Lucy and Happy Days and Dobie Gillis. That represented real America and the way things should be. None of this minorities and divorced parents and depressed people.

reply

Or it doesn't fit in with the fact that she's divorced and it's semi-autobiographical.

reply

That begs the question: What do you consider "functional"? Denis Leary said it best when he addressed dysfunctional families in one of his routines, and asked if anyone knows a functional family.

And I presume that the reference to "marxism propaganda" has something to do with the resentment of the "leftwing media". Just so you know, Marxism and liberalism are not identical, although both are considered leftist. You can want the world to be a better place without wanting a workers' revolution.

No kidding! My daughter, who's in her 30's, could tell as a young child that shows like "Leave It To Beaver" were pretty fake.

I enjoy shows like this one, that are more realistic. But, to each their own, I suppose.
