Why not have a series with a functional nuclear family

Doesn't fit in with the cultural marxism propaganda does it?

reply

It's not propaganda, it's realistic. There are a lot of non-traditional and/or "dysfunctional" families.

A consistent theme in "The Actor's Studio" is how messed up most performer's childhoods were. Lots were from military families that moved a lot so they had be chameleons to make new friends, or the parents were some variety of "olic" so they had to pretend from early on that things were different, hence lots of practice at being an actor.

If they make a show about a realistic family that is really messed up, and then they try to explain it all away as being OK, then it is propaganda. They apparently don't know the difference between explanation and excuse, using the latter when the former is more appropriate.

That and they have to keep the culture of victimization alive at all costs.

It's called 7th Heaven and it is still a punchline. That's why.

cause that's *beep* boring, it wouldn't happen anything...
And maybe you're too young, but there isnt such thing as a "perfect nice family", all people are *beep* up, as you grow older you see it...

I totally agree.

And while we're at it, how about westerns without gunfighting. In reality, it was rare. And were movies made about Apollo 11, 12, 14, 15, 16 or 17? Just the one that went bad. Or police shows that present the tedium of real police work. We only get to see the murders and stuff. And how many luxury liners crossed the Atlantic WITHOUT sinking.

The list goes on.

And maybe understand what's meant by "cultural marxism".

Modern Family, Blackish, Life In Pieces, Fresh Off The Boat, The Middle. Still plenty of two parent family sit cons out there.

But I suppose then you wouldn't have been able to step up on that soapbox.
