would YOU be OK with your 16 year old daughter having sex & smoking pot?

I wouldn't be. I wonder if the mom in the show is and tries to do anything about it or just turns a blind eye.

What's she gonna do, buy her a chastity belt? I hate to break it to you, but 16's the age of consent to have sex in over 30 states in the country so it's not something most parents even get a say in at that point.

The age of consent is 18 in California where the show takes place. However most states have Romeo and Juliet laws that allow sex between peers of similar age. But yeah, 18 is higher than usual. 16 is more common.

I think she's trying her best, being the only parent involved. I can see where she's coming from not wanting to push her children away. Thier smart mouths annoy me. It doesn't look like she was raised better. I think in the end she's really just choosing her battles.
