They could’ve built the backstory with the dad much more than they did. Add another 10 mins of run time and talk more about his disappearance etc.

The old Universal Wolfman was a tragedy. He didn't deserve the curse that fell upon him.

I mean, was there any gore in this?? I feel like in the modern Era, the Werewolf design by choice are the one's who walk Bipedal like in The HOWLING. Is this anything like that??

Yes and yes. I don't want to spoil it for you but it does have some intense gore.

Yeah the film is just about okay. It’s well directed and atmospheric but it’s just not particularly entertaining and the screenplay feels very underbaked.
