Endgame: Captain Marvel Ruined A Potential Big Iron Man Moment

A specific scene involving Captain Marvel in Avengers: Endgame effectively ruins what could've been a great Iron Man moment in the MCU film.

Yep. She didn't belong in this movie so every time she showed up she had to steal a scene from another character. When she blows up Thanos' ship at the end, that should have been Hulk's big moment. A properly Hulked out Hulk leaping on to that ship and running through it from stem to stern and then dropping down in front of Thanos like, "how you like me now, mofo?" Extra funny cause this Thanos would have no idea who he even is. Then you get the full circle payoff on that. And I always thought the end Hulk's story arc should have been choosing to let go of the Professor Hulk compromise and re-embrace the existence of the beast cause Hulk is what's needed to save the day sometimes. Banner accepts his fate, all the more important once Tony and Cap are gone. Earth needs a protector.

I like your idea. Certainly would have been better than what was done.

Yea good ideas.

Marvel fucked up when they went woke.

Nah, we know what Tony's capable of.

Him fixing the Benatar (after learning about its tech from Nebula) would be credible but boring. It wouldn't be a callback to the cave so much as a retread.

What we got was more important to the narrative -- Tony coming to grips with losing Peter, losing the "infinity war," and finally losing his life in the depths of space, are what drive him throughout the rest of this film.

He needed that humility.

Being saved by Danvers, a near-literal deus ex machina, would just convince Tony further that he's living on borrowed time.

We don't need more "great Iron Man moments" at this point; we need to know why Tony would tap out for real, and what would bring him back into the fight.
