"She has to go up against all of the people who were her comrades at the beginning of the film, and there is not a flicker of emotion from her"
To be fair, that's to be expected from someone who's spent years as a test pilot in the culture right out of "The Right Stuff" * and Kree commando. In military cultures and that test pilot culture specifically, displays of emotion are frowned upon, especially in life-or-death situations. Keeping cool instead of panicking in an emergency can save a pilot's life, and of course a soldier needs to stifle their soft side when they're being sent out to kill. This would be especially true for a woman in the male-dominated culture of test pilots and a human among the Kree, the people around her in both cultures would regard any display of feeling or decency as a weakness, so she's learned not to show her feelings. Wonder Woman never had that issue, she was raised in Amazon culture, where women are both serious badasses and emotionally open.
Which makes developing her emotional side and becoming more human the obvious character arc for her, but as I said she was allowed zero character development in "Endgame". Maybe in her next film.
* Hence "Pancho's Bar".
