i notice something about Avengers: Infinity War.
i notice that this movie wasn’t an Avengers movie it was a Thanos movie. also this is the first superhero movie where villain won and his plan is Complete.

shareI think you could argue that the villain won in Civil War as well. I think Thanos is every bit a headliner in this movie as the Avengers so I see your point on that.
sharetrue, the villain in Civil War broke-up the Avengers. also Thanos had almost 30 minutes of screen time in this movie. (According to IMDB)
sharethat seems rather myopic an observation.
1. In "Watchmen", a thematically more mature CBM film about characters, the villain wins.
2. Thanos does not really win, as with the comics, this is just the first part with a cliffhanger ending. The Avengers will so kick his ass in the next one (with a whiff of raccoon turd) that he will never show his color-changing nutsack of a chin again.
3. Also, rest assured, in old Marvel formula tradition, you will have all the "disappeared" super heroes magically return in the next one as their film schedules already suggest. The only one who will likely stay dead will the black guy who hillariously died first.
Loki, Vision, and Heimdall are all confirmed to stay dead. Also, Quicksilver and Yondu both died and stayed that way.
shareWho confirmed the deaths?
Because I still can't believe that Loki died doing something as stupid and trite as trying to stab someone with a knife he's holding behind his back.
.
The Russos said if someone died onscreen, then it's permanent.
shareWell that's obviously bull, everyone knows that wveryone who died at the end is coming back, and some if those who died earlier.
So I still hold out hope that Loki wasn't that stupid, after all.
We never saw them die. They disappeared.
shareI want to know if all the people that died in immediate post-snapture auto accidents are coming back!
Everyone else is, or almost everyone else.
They disintegrated into ash. I don’t think we need to bring Quincy in for an autopsy to say they died.
share"the black guy"?
Seriously? You remember Watchmen (speaking of raccoon turds) but can't be bothered to even remember the name of the character you're referencing? Or use google? All you could remember was his skin color?
It's a long-standing movie trope: The black guy ALWAYS dies.
It's true in 98% of movies made that have a black male character, and is often referenced in a joking manner. Or a half-bitter-half-joking manner.

Or you’re just a racist.
sharesure, if that helps you float your boat on shallow MCU waters, just take care you don't hit another raccoon turd.
shareNote....avoid Aquaman. got it.
shareyes, seems like Aquaman ventures into deep waters indeed, so stay away unless you have a good pair of MCU water wings - then again, if the film remains shallow, you might feel right home with it...
shareLOL....yeah, it has to be deep to match the lengths the DCEU sinks to with critics and box office.....
shareNone were ever quite victorious like Thanos, that’s for damn sure. Even if the victory is temporary, what the aforementioned Zemo and Joker accomplished in their movies pales in comparison to the devastation left by Thanos. Universal genocide? I mean... wow. Thanos did EVERYTHING that he set out to do. And to celebrate this earth-shattering victory, he went to a remote planet to relax and feel that wonderful sense of accomplishment and serenity he felt he was entitled to. The huge smile on his face said it all.
This was unprecedented for a movie of such large size and scale, no doubt about it. Fyi, up to 30 minutes of Thanos’ backstory were cut from Infinity War (they might be seen on the 4K/blu-day release). So yeah, this is his film. Exceptional villain.
true, this movie is Thanos's movie.
shareVillain is relative, right? In the classic sense of the word, Thanos is the hero of the film. He has the obstacle-frought journey to complete. I sing of arms and a Titan and so forth.
I posted here about this when the film came out. Curious to hear your thoughts:

It's one of three superhero movies where the villain won, the others being Captain America: Civil War and The Dark Knight. Zemo and Joker also got what they wanted. Thanos was the focus of Avengers 3, mainly due to past criticism that MCU villains weren't complex characters. I never bought into that argument but Marvel Studios listens and the responded by making Thanos a character with emotions and a motivation you can understand.
shareYes, Thanos is about 900% better written character than Apocalypse in X-Men: Apocalypse.
shareIn my opinion it should have just been Marvel: Infinity War and Marvel: Endgame. More all encompassing, and most of these characters aren't known for being Avengers.
