The ending means nothing (spoilers)

Any character that anyone cares about has sequels planned or in production (Black Panther, Spider-Man, Guardians, etc) so you know even before going in to this film that they're not going to die. The deaths are therefore cheap and meaningless.

It's inherent to these 'series'... There is never any meaning, because it is so never ending, episodic and very much like a soap opera TV show...

That's why almost every single one of these movies has to reenact World War II or 9/11, just to try to make us feel something by reminding us of real loss... The series makers know that they can't move people otherwise... It is cheap and meaningless as you say...

I agree 100%. Though - the only thing the ending signified is that there will be a sequel, something we knew was coming either way. Read the backstory of any marvel character - they all died like 5 times and were brought back the same number of times.

The downside is - the same applies to the villains - none of them ever really die either. The whole thing is a crappy fairy tale for boys and nothing more. Though the fact that the marvel universe functions this way (recycling rather than creating new characters) tells me that after writing the original stories, the creators ran out of ideas - and so the whole universe is in the constant state of groundhog day.

Well, we know Thanos isn't going to just win and kill half of the Galaxy or Universe so they are going to somehow beat him. Dumb move on his part to not kill all of the super heroes and not leave some alive.

I'm assuming everyone that vaporizes into dust will be saved and brought back. Anyone who died a regular death before he gets all six stones is gone......Loki, Gamora....etc.

Duh.

But I can live with that in a comic book movie, as long as they keep up with the terrific special effects and hot men in tight clothing, I don't require depth.
