The most powerful hero of the MCU taking over only makes sense (the whiny fragile altreich gonna be the whiny fragile altreich).
Oh, but no doubt the haters/reactionary crowd will cry harder and somehow lose their minds even more because of this!
“No!!! Marvel, comics in general and movies should belong to us! Social commentary, unacceptable messages of fighting for justice and inclusion have ‘suddenly’ taken over the world of entertainment and our cold butthurt selves can’t stand it! This is NOT what Marvel to my narrow-minded behind has always stood for!”
- the clueless detractors of CM
And don’t be sorry. With the excessive trolling and failed smear/hate campaigns they’re responsible for, these detractors should just be laughed at (including those who don’t go mental like the trolls but nevertheless bring up many of the same talking points/complaints as them).
That was already known, she was brought as the new leader in the 2nd marvel movies cycle.
For some reason, modern media companies think that promoting a political agenda is more important than earning money. Marvel Comics already did it a few years ago, and benefits have decreased to the point they could be closed down.
Up to now, Marvel movies were in a politically neutral territory. And they made millions. Fast forward to some years from now, they'll be wondering how the hell they screwed up their golden goose.
No as in dumb i meant your comment , and btw who cares what she said , i like the movie and the character , also what feminism has to do with politics?
Feminist thoughts can influence or attempt to influence public policy, but the only reason it's seen as a PARTISAN or "Left" issue is because the "Right," particularly anyone proud to claim "Alt-Right," is where you get a significantly larger accumulation of anti-feminists. The extremists there see feminism as a Liberal concept and thus avoid it out of bias... although this is simply justification for old-fashioned, archaic views on women most likely.
You can even find experiences "Alt-Right women" have written in the last two+ years, becoming disillusioned with the "Alt-Right" once they noticed how much misogyny they found themselves facing.

Trolling is original, unique and creative. You're totally not blandly parroting the exact styles and strategies copied by thousands of others. You totally don't sound indistinguishable from the other trolls, and it totally doesn't give the impression of an ultraconformist hive mind mentality.

Wrong. Hell, the one that kicked it all off, Iron Man back in 2008, had heavy political tones.
-Middle East terrorists using American-made weapons because the U.S. fills the world with weapons, a purely political conversation
-The fact that it opens with a Middle East terrorism subject matter in the first place
-Stark turning anti-Military-Industrial-complex out of shame due to his place in this
-The rich playboy Stark getting more grounded thanks to a woman's romantic influence, which was done right away in the first movie... If Captain Marvel is related at all to feminism, then this pre-#MeToo softening of Tony Stark definitely counts (the kind of male that could have otherwise easily been labeled toxic... The Toxic Avenger lol).
Not to mention the old-school "imbalanced-power" relationship of a billionaire industrialist falling for his secretary/assistant/etc.
The sequel focused largely on blatant, in-our-faces "debates" on government regulation of private industry, corporate autonomy, military contractors gone corrupt (Blackwater anyone?), vigilantism, and whether or not government oversight and funding of vigilantes/mercenaries/contractors is a positive or negative influence.
There's a strong anti-government bent, especially with Senator Stern being Stark's primary opposition, a man who later joins HYDRA.

There one big difference between these two movies. Tony stark is a likable character that actually has a Character Ark. Danvers is a unlikable character who doesn't have a character ark. She the same at the beginning of the movie as she is the End.
There was nothing remotely political about the Captain Marvel movie, or the character. The fact that the protagonist of a film is female doesn't make a film feminist or political.
I have no issue with a woman leading the next generation of Marvel....but....
Why Captain Marvel? I'm no comic geek, but to be honest prior to the hype surrounding this movie if you said "Captain Marvel" ... I would have said, "You mean Shazam, right?" At least your Average Joe knows who Captain America, Thor, Hulk and Iron Man are.
Then you add in the fact that Brie Larson just isn't all that overly likable... I just don't get it.
Frankly once Cap, Tony and Thor leave. Im pretty sure that the MCU will go in a downward trend. MCU dosn't have anyone who is as charismatic as those three other than maybe Doctor Strange and were probably only going get one more GOTG movie. And if you think that a character that been cancelled multiple times in the comics and play by a plank of wood is going to replace the super charismatic Robert Downey jr and have it work. Than there nuts. Captain Marvel made money for two reason 1) Its a Marvel Movie 2) Its sandwich between two huge movies that people probably felt that they had to see to understand Endgame. Once they realize that she a dull version of Wonder Woman. I doubt she do that well in Captain Marvel 2.
He said she is going lead the MCU, not the Avengers. I don’t see why she would be the new leader of the Avengers.
First, being the most powerful hero isn’t the criteria for that. Cap is definitely not the most powerful. He is less powerful than Thor, Hulk, Witch, Vision, Spidey and Strange.
Second, like Thor, she covers a lot more territory than Earth. Her beat covers multiple galaxies.
Finally, there is a more obvious choice— T’Challa. He is an Earth-only hero and he is already a king, so he is definitely leader material.

Ah, those times were having been born in an aristocratic family and being part of the monarchy was not considered a relevant factor in regard to lead a group of superheros. Those were the times.
So, being born in the monarchy and having to fight for the throne with other aristocrats in traditional African ritual combats with spears, that's the new meritocracy.
