For those that watched all 4 so far. Which way are you leaning?
Happy with the new show or feeling kind of meh...

Thumbs up, episode 4 was my favorite
shareThumbs up, but I think they lost a lot of potential new viewers with the first couple episodes. He should've started out with something more accessible just to get people going... then hit them later with the more surreal passages. But as a fan of the show, I liked it a lot and it got better and better as they reintroduced old characters.
shareIf he had done what he wanted in the start and not what everyone else (the network) had wanted then the original Twin Peaks would have lasted lots longer and would have been so much better!
David Lynch is one of a kind and it is best to let him do what he wants without interference and then you can look back on it at the end and say what they hell was that?
When Umberto Eco wrote The Name of the Rose, he said it was on purpose that the introduction pages were so demanding for the reader. He did this to make sure that those who really wanted to read his book had the patience to get through the beginning. He compared this first reading by climbing a steep mountain. Those who had the strength and patience to climb all the way to the summit, would get their reward from there on. It may not sound completely true - all writers, musicians, filmmakers surely want as large an audience as possible? Still, I choose to believe that Umberto Eco really meant what he said. Season 3 of Twin Peaks may look something the same.
Thumbs definitely up, with a foolish smile and a tie around my head!
There's been a precious long time since I had such a good time, and also felt so lost, terrified and disturbed at the same time.
