shareProblem is that review is written by some woke warrior wannabe that babbles about how women should be used in a movie. The bottom line is the movie is shit. Another of those movies where they spend too much money hiring a big name actor to show up for what probably took Gibson all of a day to shoot and then give them star billing when they have less screen time than you get in the trailer. And because the cheap fuckers that made the movie spent so much of their budget on Gibson they didn't have enough left to get a decent actor or writer for the rest of the film. I'm still not sure if Hauser is just the worst fucking actor ever or if it was just the ridiculous lines that no one could have said without looking like complete shit.
Don't watch the film, even if it streams for free don't waste your time... it's just a not worth 5 minutes time let alone an hour and half of your life.
Thank you!
shareHauser has that look in his eyes at all times - just like in yellowstone - eyes wide open, like some shit is going down - makes him look half crazed. It works in some scenes and in some films, but he should learn how to keep his eyes half-closed not look so tense all the time.
otherwise, i'm still watching the film.... the plot is.... dodgy. The intro wasn't too bad, but the longer it goes, the bigger the mess it becomes. The editing, the sound mixing, the acting, the whole thing....
On that note, lethal weapon 5 ain't looking great, if it's going to keep up with the current trend of Mel's projects.
All I can think is Mel must have made some really bad investments. After all that he made with the Passion of Christ movie you would think he wouldn't have to do these Bruce Willis style cameos for a paycheck movies.
sharehe did get divorced - that's 50 percent of his total wealth down the drain
shareI thought he had a prenup and was only on the hook for child support.
sharenope - he got married early, before he got famous - hence the 20 or something like that - children with his ex. Given just how many kids she popped out for him, she may actually deserve all that money - lol
shareYou're right. The first wife dumped his ass after he made the mega buck on Passion of Christ, it was the skank he knocked up afterwards that just got the child support from him. When guys get to a certain level of wealth they really should get a vasectomy to avoid poverty.
shareI'd sooner it was Mel Gibson and Wings Hauser, instead
shareI plan on seeing it. It looks like an 80's-style throwback movie...with elements that most current (woke and PC) movie makers are too afraid to incorporate these days. Plus, Mel is always cool, even in bad movies.
I just watched Dragged Across Concrete last week...and it reminded me just how cool that dude is. He never disappoints.
Plus, this movie sounds like it has a little bit of a Miami Vice feel to it. I really liked that show and that vibe.
Look, they're not going for Shakespeare here. Just some good old fashioned action, suspense, chase scenes, exotic locales, star power, gratuitous sex and nudity. Consider yourself lucky a movie like this still occasionally gets made. Sit back, relax, with a cold beer, maybe some nachos (heck, get the jalapenos, it's the weekend)....and kick your feet up.
Thank you, Mel. For surviving and thriving. Looking forward to LW5.
Gibson was really good in 'Last Looks' too (easily the best thing about the movie)
Despite being stuck in this DTV rut (for the moment) at very least he's not phoning it in (unlike Bruce Willis)
This used to be my go to movie site for all news and updates. It has really gone woke AF within the past year. Its a real shame, I used to love that site.
shareNeveldine/Taylor outstayed their welcome with Ghost Ride 2.
shareI liked the movie okay. It's a cheap production, the music is awful as they didn't bother to license anything, so had generic stand in music.
But the complaint in that review about the use of women is bullshit. There are three female characters of note in it: Camilla (Kiara Lee), the DEA agent Cynthia (Jackie Cruz), and the sister-in-law Tatyana (Kate Katzman). Only Kiara is a sex-object, and so what? The main guy falls for her, even after finding out she betrayed him, her death motivates him further. Acting as if sex somehow doesn't fit into this world of drug cartels/casinos/espionage is silly. Maybe, Tatyana and Cynthia "look" sexy (I'd say they do), but I don't recall that being an issue in the story at all. I guess the writer of that review would have preferred androgynous bull-dykes. I liked that the movie had a bit of sex/nudity of the type you USED to see in movies and more recently on premium cable series. It was one of the better aspects of the movie.
This is absolute garbage. Only bright spot was full-on nudity from the female extras. Mel Gibson and Cole Hauser looked bored. The editing for the fight scenes was horrific.
