People were surprised from the getgo that Disney hired Gunn cause he wasn't exactly secret about his wild ass self. Disney has a public morality code that must be maintained. Guy's a nut ball. That might fly if you're a racy comedian but not a high profile filmmaker. Even Kubrick would have been pushed off a plank for that crap.

Well, Gunn did make the movie Super, so it shouldn't be a surprise that he has a dark, kind of twisted side to his sense of humor.
