I agree that it was jarring to see him down there with that evil-looking smile on his face, all pleased with himself for finding out about MK, when the very last scene had him crying for help with Jade foaming at the mouth.
They probably could have edited those scenes a bit better, or had a brief shot of the Baron approaching and looking intent, so we'd know he was gonna round up his people. Or just show us what happened with Jade -- the only reason we don't know is because the show wanted to leave us on a cliffhanger. I doubt they're killing off Sarah Bulger at this point.
I had more of a problem with Sunny suddenly deciding to let the Widow go, that it was somehow more important to gawk at MK-as-Goku than it was to kill the Widow right there and solve at least half his own problems. With the Widow gone, he no longer has to worry about her going after MK, he doesn't have to worry about hunting her down, or anticipate her next attack on Quinn...
