Um....it just opened in theaters right before the weekend. Give it a little time.
I haven't seen this new version of "Dumbo" yet, but I know my mom's gonna wanta see it (she was there when the first one came out), and I don't want to write it off just yet. It might surprise some people.
I hope you are right but it's going to have to really "take off"(no pun intended) if it's going to break even.
And then Shazam! opens in less than a week. It's not looking good.

Plus, this is a film for family audiences; most families will not have been attending late night showings on a school night.

Beauty and the Beast made almost 17 million from it's Thursday previews by comparison.
Deadline says it has a total cost of 300 million!
It's opening to 44 million with the hotly anticipated Shazam! opening in 5 days.
This will be lucky to hit 300 million worldwide. Disney will lose hundreds of millions on this.
