How did Gabriel...

the film makes absolutely no attempt in any way to try to explain it
i 've watched the film twice and read dozens of reviews, from what i've gathered, it seems Madison/Gabriel gets their Superhuman strength from electricity
I do not remotely see how this explains though how Madison/Gabriel are able to fight like life lone martial artists, and do maneuvers that literally defy the laws of physics
bottom line there are at least 5 giant plot holes in this that require you to just say "who cares, and go with it"
this is probably the very best example of a film that requires you to just suspend all rational beliefs to enjoy it...
I Love the film....but I love it because I completely accept it for what it is... and the film is simply James Wan having an incredible idea for A twist ending and then he had to painfully and dishonestly build an entire film around it.
There was no other way for this film to work, it couldn't logically make sense, this film only exists for the twist ending and the experience of the shocking twist ending, so I'm OK shutting my brain off and accepting the plot holes because the twist ending was amazing and in my opinion completely justified the dishonesty from Wan
but I also completely understand why this movie would infuriate some and why anyone would really dislike it
it's an extremely odd movie and probably the most dishonest movie ever made
It all happened in the Matrix, none of it was real.
shareI still don't get how he was able to talk on the phone while in the same room with Anna.
shareGabriel's consciousness is separate.
shareHow did the consciousness know and dial Kekoa's phone number from an untraceable line?
shareI'll let you know the answer to that when I first figure out how Gabriel has the ability to manipulate electricity, or create an artificial voice (Gabriel has no vocal cords after all) that can communicate over an FM radio.
But actually before that, I might to figure out how Xavier can telepathically talk to ppl. Or how Danny was able to communicate with Hallorann.
And don't you say "magical" or "mutant" powers! Obviously, there's going to be an explicit, scientific explanation for all of these things. And when I figure it out, you'll find out right here.
Bro Xavier's telepathic powers are more or less consistent and always a part of his character. They don't simply disappear for a few stories and then resurface as a deus-ex-machina.
Xavier's telepathy is the wrong analogy. A better analogy is Electro deciding inexplicably not to use his electric powers and instead fighting Spiderman with his fists.
Gabriel's electro-powers are only ever used in the movie to deliver exposition to the viewers, like with the phone or the radio. He'd rather have a fist fight with Kekoa and almost get shot at the police station, when he can just electrocute everyone to death.
The writers give Gabriel such a big superpower, and then don't even use it for the entire the movie. It's like Superman not flying for an entire movie.

Honestly, I was only seeking answers within the framework of the movie. You used whataboutism by bringing in X-men and Shining. The argument becomes unending then because either of us can cite any number of movies that support our respective arguments.
shareThe same way he learned electrokinesis, and used that to generate a voice that can communicate through radio and phone waves.
Magic. Lol
Before he was stuffed back in her head and while he still had arms, he used to read martial arts comics.
shareI asked myself what is happening but didn’t ask myself how or why. I just knew I was enjoying the ridiculous gift that had been bestowed upon me.
