Such juvenile stuff has its place, but to top the box office with nearly every one that comes out! Or has it always been this way?

This one is clearly explained by good timing alone. Fathers who owned a Sega Megadrive in the 1990's now go with their kids to watch a movie about their favorite childhood character.
