"Blue Valentine" for the masses...
I had to think of "Blue Valentine" occasionally then watching this movie: Romance gone bad, ending with heart break.
Anybody else thinking the same?

It's not like Blue Valentine is the only movie/piece of media where something like that happens.
shareNo, actually never thought of it in those terms. This is more of a movie about people needing each other for a specific time in their lives but the dreams they both had always took front and center. Blue Valentine is a movie I would compare to that DiCaprio-Kate Winslet movie Revolutionary Road.
I'm trying to go for an engaging, funny youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance. A review of the movie here- https://youtu.be/ER6TDam4_bY
Well, Hollywood is usually all about happy endings, but Ryan Gosling is now starring in two tragic love stories?
Also, the time shifting episode at the end reminded my of the before/after structure of "Blue Valentine"...
Tragic love stories aren't nearly as rare as you seem to be under the impression that they are. Plenty of actors have starred in more than one.
The "romantic daydream" montage also isn't that rare. It reminded me of the An American in Paris ending more than anything else just because they're both musicals.
