Being this a prequel to most of the SW story, I figured this was BEFORE episode one.
I guess I was in automatic mode when watching this.
So, is he supposed to be already dead when this happens?

It has to be after the Phantom Menace and the prequels since there is The Empire instead of the Republic.

shareI'm afraid I haven't seen any of the cartoons. I guess since a light saber would cauterize the wounds and stop someone from bleeding to death, it's not outside the realm of possibility. Poor guy must not have a wang anymore though.

shareHe apparently never died in episode 1 when Obie chopped him in half. He got some robot legs. If you look at the hologram call you can kinda see his robotic legs.

Maul's appearance in Solo was no surprise for those who have been following the animated Star Wars TV shows.
Worst part of the movie.
