A question for lovers and haters alike...
Would you want to see Disney Star Wars make an Obi-wan film?
Much to my surprise I'd say yes - but only if EM was in it (of course).

At this point I don't trust Diz to do anything well. I liked TFA but the current trend means that an Obi Wan movie would just be loaded with as many connections to cannon as they can make. A fan service fest. Like they'll butcher countless minutes portraying the genesis of his name turning into "Ben." Like he's a regular at the same cantina and gets asked "how you doing?" to which his answer is always "I've BEEN better" and they start calling him Ben after that. Probably prop up some consistent innuendo that he had a gay relationship on Tatoine, too.
So no. I don't want anymore SW from Diz at all, really. And yet I will probably watch everything they do (although I feel enough conviction to claim that I WILL NOT watch anything directed/written by Rian)
Perfect world: Diz franchises SW or sells it. And we get some good writers like Vernor Vinge, Neal Stephenson, William Gibson, or Marv Wolfman. And let some interesting directors take a shot like Duncan Jones, Terry Gilliam, John McTiernan, or James Cameron. I'd have even preferred Tarantino's Solo over the eye-rolling tv quality joke we got.
John McTiernan... now there's a name I haven't heard since.... well, too fucking long.
yes. even the worst sw films are worth seeing. i'll watch everything they make.
