- Release the theatrical OT on discs and iTunes. This is the only thing that really needs to happen, but since we're playing what if, let's have some fun...
- Insert a movie somewhere in the series that centres around Luke Skywalker... Perhaps between the last movie where he appeared and The Last Jedi in terms of timeline
- The movie willl start with Luke as we knew him at the end of the OT... then gradually show him facing different challenges that he needs to overcome... Physical challenges, mental challenges, jedi challenges and emotional challenges...
- Then show how he changes gradually due to these experiences, for example show his longing for Solo, how he misses him and regrets not consumating their relationship and going beyond friendship... Show his experimental phase where he tries guys for the first time, make it R-rated with implied 'light saber fights' and all... Show him go through a dark predatory phase where he instructs 20 year old would be jedi guys how to hold their 'lightsabers' 😉 ... have fun with it, but show the darkness in that none of this sex can fill the Hanz size void in his heart, etc...
-then go really dark, show what drives him to seclusion, the darkness he felt about Kylo or whatever his name is (the adam driver character), but add the complexity of the unrequited love between Skywalker and Hans Solo as the driver for his paranoia... Think the obsession of a movie like Virtigo, with Luke deliriously 'force-spying' on Solo, etc...
- Also, add a final scene to the movie where Luke attempts suicide but fails as he realises the meaningless ness of jedi life without Solo...
That movie will restore faith in StarWars, fans will be so horrified they will re-evaluate the Disney starwars movies as being "not that bad" in a similar way as they have re-evaluated the prequels and I will have singlehandedly rejuvinated true StarWars fans love for the series since the Disney movies would be redeemed as the sequels have been...
You're welcome 😎
