Where do you stand on this film?

I´ve seen the movie twice in the theater.

I really enjoyed it, better than The Force Awakens actually.

My ranking:

Actually kinda let down.

After two viewings: IMHO it's a cracking good film!

I don't rank things, but it's definitely one of the best of the series, a suspenseful and gripping film and a way cool tour through the Star Wars universe. It's better than TFA, and builds on its strengths without any of the derivative script that was a crippling weakness, and it gives me real hope that Disney is going to do a good job overall.

Seen it 3 times now. Third favorite after Empire and ANH.

I'd actually rank it above the PT (despite the slow and uneven first hour of Rogue One) so it's right below the OT and above The Force Awakens.

TFA isn't a bad movie, but I found it really bland watching it a second time. And compared to Rogue One, the characters seem cartoony all of a sudden. Doesn't really feel like the tense and electric banter of ESB or ANH either. Just feels like an weaker imitation of it.

But what does that say about the PT that I still put it on the dreadful bottom of my list? It says George made some lavishly boring and problematic films, that's what.

I'd give it a B+!

Not the best, but a damn good film and a solid effort.
