How would you rank the movies in the franchise?

My ranking would be:

1. Underworld
2. Underworld: Evolution
3. Underworld: Rise of the Lycans
4. Underworld: Blood Wars
5. Underworld: Awakening

To me, Underworld 1 2 4 & 5 are perfect. 10 out of 10.

Unlike most people, I'm not very keen on the 3rd one. The plot of romance is lacking in that one. Rhona Mitra's portrayal of Sonja didn't make me feel for the character. I prefer the 55-second flashback in the original to the entire 92-minute prequel.

Effective trolling is art.

They're all fairly equal in my mind except for Rise of the Lycans. To me that was definitely the worst one.

My body's a cage, it's been used and abused...and I...LIKE IT!!

Awakening

I can't wait for the ultimate 5 movie edition with the Amelia scenes in UW replaced using the actress who portrayed her in Rise. Something I don't think many other series have done to correct missmatched actors playing the same role.

Hmmmm....Evolution was always my favourite but after doing a back to back session this weekend which ended in a trip to the cinema for Blood Wars, I have a different appraisal towards that film:

1. Underworld
2. Blood Wars
3. Evolution
4. Rise of the Lycans
5. Awakening

Seeing Blood Wars tomorrow, so I'll update as soon as I see it, but based on the first four films, I tend to rank them in line with their release order...

1- Underworld - Fun, solid Gothic action fantasy.
2- Underworld: Evolution - Highly entertaining follow-up.
3- Underworld: Rise of the Lycans - Interesting and generally enthralling back-story to the war, but not quite as much fun as the first two.
4- Underworld: Awakening - Not the atrocity it's made out to be, but easily the weakest link in the series.

Edit: Well, I was going to see the movie today until I got rear-ended and destroyed my back, so as soon as I do see it, I will update my ranking, lol.
