I think it could have done a lot better with a different director and style. A better actor to play Elvis. A linear storyline instead of jumping all over the place and no silly rap music.

It surpassed a lot of expectations in box office dollars, but i hear it's not great. I'll wait to watch on a streaming service.

Your obsession with Elvis and this film is odd.

Me? I'm just commenting on a film on a film forum.

i meant to respond to Burk48917, who seems obsessed with this film failing.

sorry

It didn't start strong so I made a post about it. Seems fitting in a movie group. It's had unexpected legs and I've acknowledged many times my error. I don't see whats so obsessive about that. Isn't the point of this group to discuss films?

I think Austin Butler was great Elvis but yes to a different director. I think Dexter Fletcher should have been the one in charge. He stroke gold with RocketMan and Bohemian Rhapsody.

I hope next time he directs a Music Biopic he should do: a Bon Jovi Biopic, Guns N Roses or Aerosmith.
