killing birds in not funny

Have no idea why Hollywood thinks killing animals or birds is funny. Happens often. I will never watch this show again.

I missed that part. what happened ?

The guy who made the bird comment was watching The Big Bang Theory where they did kill a bird in the plot.. It aired immediately following The Odd Couple He posted on the WRONG place!

reply

LOL. I was watching Big Bang and thought, "wow, two shows in one night on CBS about killing birds....strange."

reply

Isn't that crazy? Of course no birds were really hurt!

reply

I understand the OP's point. I don't think he/she thought animals were really hurt. The suggestion of it indeed is not funny.

reply

I didn't see that part, as posted earlier. good for the bird!

I will say that the bird flying away was hilarious.

reply

Wrong show buddy! The bird killing is on Big Bang Theory.. not The Odd Couple!

reply

The bird in The Odd Couple could have died, since it was sucked into a vacuum cleaner and then shot out of it out a window and over the side of the building where it fell to it's death as it was likely unconscious at that point.

reply

There was a scene on this show where the canary that Felix got for his birthday got "comically" sucked into a vacuum and spat out.

No parrots were hurt in the filming of this episode. And the scene was very funny.

The bird and the vacuum cleaner bit in the new Odd Couple episode was actually very funny. I have watched every episode so far and think this new reboot sucks.... however, the sucking of the bird was probably the only humorous thing I've seen in this new stinking series so far.

reply

I agree Joe! I'm thinking the series is not going to make it. However, the general public sometimes is not as critical as some of us veteran tv buffs.. well, I for one did see the original television series.

reply

I totally agree with you! It's in almost every movie. I'm hoping idiot people won't copy what they see. This show is not funny at all.

I actually thought it might be a shout out to The Clash's "Magnificent Seven".

1. It's pretend, and you know bloody well, don't be such a tool
2. People like you that are this insanely obsessed with animals are on the other side of crazy, and everyone around you knows it

Don't get me wrong, animals are awesome and should be treated well. So are people. But when they get pretend hurt on screen only kooks flip out

All you saw was feathers, yes just feathers fly out of a vacuum and your irrational response is "I will never watch this show again"... Kook

reply

Actually, if you slow it down, you saw the bird flying out the window, over the ledge.

Regardless, what a stupid *beep* thing for people to get pissed off at, it's just a damn show.

**** JAY LENO....GO COCO!!!!!!!!!!

As a bird owner myself, i'm appalled that anyone would find sucking up a bird in a vacuum cleaner to be funny.

Yes, I know no animals are harmed and it's "only TV", but we live in a society chock full of immature idiots who stupidly mimic what they see on television. I hope none of them saw that scene and went after Tweety with a vacuum afterwards.

I hope this show is cancelled.

Ok, kook. Wing night at the local pub must be crippling. I assume you are outside with a sign protesting while people are inside gobbling up delicious buffalo style...

reply

Oh todd, the way you just freely and openly displayed such low intelligence with that asinine post gave me a good hearty laugh.

Thank you for brightening up my cloudy day! :)

reply

such low intelligence
From a person that got offended from a TV show that pretended to, accidentally, suck up a bird in a vacuum. It actually bothered you. You do realize everything on your "magic box" is not actually happening?

I stand by my statement: Kook

reply

You just displayed it again since in my original post, I already acknowledged the fact that it's "only tv". So you can now go ahead and add reading comprehension to your list of mental deficiencies.

It's posters like you that make IMDB such a fun place to visit!

reply

You may have acknowledged that it was "only tv." However, your posts indicate something else entirely.

There are far too many people who have little to no sense of humor. They also take themselves way too seriously. And they often have holier than thou attitudes. This world would be far better off if these types would somehow find the ability to relax and take things with a grain of salt. This absurd path our society is on where every single time a person is just a little offended they loose their minds is troubling at the very least.

By the way, I love cats. I adore them. And guess what. The scene in Christmas Vacation where the old aunt's cat was electrocuted underneath the chair while chewing on the Christmas lights was hilarious. Well at least it was once I got over myself and stopped whining to people about how horrible it was that anybody could ever think it was funny that a cat died.
