So wait, are you saying you're afraid of water? Disney has produced much scarier stuff, from Nightmare Before Christmas to The Black Cauldron to even Who Framed Roger Rabbit (the last one isn't all animated I know). This is pretty tame in comparison to those.
Trying to create a channel based on interpreting, reviewing, and even giving you something to laugh about film. Hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance.

So wait, are you saying you're afraid of water?Nope. Just the way they filmed it. The ocean playing with her was scary. The giant growing at the end was scary.

Reading through this thread I think we can come to a few conclusions. First, you were scared of this movie, and that's fine, I guess... However, it's also obvious that no other adult was scared of the movie. Which tells us either you're a troll (most obvious answer, especially considering the insults you've replied with) or you actually have a fear of the ocean, which is, of course a real thing. But keep in mind that it isn't normal, and it's not the way the vast majority of people are.
False. All adults were scared of this movie.
Only idiotic children like yourself didn't comprend the terror because you were too busy sucking your mothers milk to pay any attention to the pure atmospheric horror showcased before you. Either that if you are a backtracking @sshole producer trying to back track and pretend this fear factor film is kid friendly. $$$$$
You're getting very angry there buddy. Is it because people disagree with you, or are simply calling you on your bs?
Regardless, it's fairly clear that not all adults, not even most adults thing this was a scary movie. Go read this message board, or read professional reviews. Look for the words fear, scary, unsettling in relation to Moana. You'll find hardly any, and you'll certainly not find anything indicating this is a scary movie.
I do believe you were scared though. But that's apparently because you're afraid of a child's film, not because the film was scary.
Incorrect again bro. 100% of adults irl find this terrifying.
Not your Correct The Record producer friends backtracking on message boards.
Film was terrifying. Deal with it.
Cry more.
This film was objectively scary.
Alien is not scary.
Most horror movies aren't scary.
Moana is scary.
Fact.
You are a troll. You are an a$$. The Jolly Green Giant scares you. And the reason no real horror film scares you? You live in your mother's dark and dank basement.
shareIt's about application.
No jolly green isn't scary. The same reason the Shining Little girls in the hallway is scary, yet Daddy Daycare isn't scary.
There is such a thing as tone, tension, and filming style.
Alfred Hitchcock can make a glass of water look unsettling.
All adults were scared of this movie.
False. All adults were scared of this movie.
Nah, the only Disney movie that's ever truly scared me is Lion King, and that's only because Scar always did (and still does, frankly!!) scare the crap out of me haha. It's at least 90% Jeremy Irons' voice.. brilliant voice acting work or course, but god is it terrifying.. *shudders* As great a villain song as it is, Be Prepared still gives me the heeby jeebies and I am 27 years old!
ETA: Yep, listening to Be Prepared again and ahhh WHY DOES HIS VOICE STILL FREAK ME OUT SO MUCH!?! 
Oh Bambi, I cried so hard when those hunters shot your mommy. - Kurt Hummel
I had no idea Jeremy Irons sang that song. I wonder if they'll consider letting him Voice scar in the live adaptation of the lion king their working on. Scar wasn't as creepy as Rasputin the guys eyes. head. hands. etc popping out all over the place as he sings In the dark of the night. I never really considered scar or frollo as 100% baddie sure they murdered folks who stood in their way. but Scar really wanted to be king and he realized once Simba was born that he was never going to be king as He would be too old or dead himself by the time simba stepped down. Frollos is one of the most confusing Disney characters imo He kills quasimodos Gypsy mother. but lusts over esmeralda who is also a gypsy notice the lines in Hellfire - "Let her be mine and mine alone. "Choose me or Your Pyre" "Be mine or you will burn." 'She will be mine or She will burn."
it sounds like he wants to kill her but hes actually lusting over her. i'd say Ratcliffe in pocahantas is the closest Disney has to 100% villain he just wants to kill pocahantas and her people and retrieve the gold even if it means Smiths death
"Touchdoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooown Auburn"
in response to the OP I saw this movie for the first time today in theatres it wasn't scary at all if anything it felt like a homage to animated Disney films of the 90s

Well. Someone hasn't seen The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Or The Black Cauldron.
Never say "Worst movie ever" to someone who's seen Highlander 2
