Almost walked out

Yes this movie has impressive animation, a couple of good songs and the voice acting is spot on. Unfortunately all of the above are pros that are evident mostly to adults, but my six year old niece (as well as most of the children in the theater) was bored to tears, to the point that we almost walked out of it. It took me a lot to convince her to stay till the end.

The movie might be charming, but with only three action scenes it certainly isn't entertaining. The story has a very simple plot and it feels over stretched even for a 100+ min length.

Don't get me wrong, I believe that without kids (or maybe with more "art sensitive" kids) the movie experience would've been different, but if you're a parent and expect to have your kids' eyes glued to the screen, you might be disappointed.

I took my nieces and nephew to see it and they loved it.

My kids have seen it three times and they loved it. My little girl was up dancing to the songs and singing them to us, just like she always does.

I think your neice's reaction was your neice's reaction and that's all there is to say.
