Grimm knock-offs?

According to the radio ads, this group of special, resurrected Messengers are "Messengers of God" (angels?) sent to fight "The Devil" (or demon(s)?
Compare this to the CBS show "Grimm" where post-adolescent Grimms (like the Mesengers?) first become aware of their ability to identify and fight "Wessens" (demons or demon-possessed humans?)
Or compare it to the other new 13-episode show on ABC Family, "Shadowhunters," about "Clary Fray, who finds out on her 18th birthday (adulthood/resurrection?) that she comes from a long line of human/angel hybrids (Messengers/Grimms?) who hunt down and kill demons (Wessens?)!!"
Are these Grimm knockoffs?

Well, when I saw the pilot I was like doesn't the CW already have a show about angels and demons fighting on different sides of an apocalypse and a group of humans trying to stop it…..called Supernatural. But, in the scifi world, if you go with the oldies but goodies, they will always be reminiscent of something.

You certainly have an imaginative way of finding similarities that most would see are not similar at all.

With that, I have to say "no", this is not a Grimm rip-off or even remotely close.

But that's not to say that because I and probably many others don't see it does not mean it does not exist. Kindof like Wessens.

The only similarity I really see is that the characters are all played by humans and its fiction.
