This movie is going to flop at the box office.
Kids are not idiots, and they don't like musicals.
This movie looks horrible from the trailer.

And I'll bet there's no way you'll pay up when you're wrong! Mark this post, folks.
shareKids are idiots.
It's why they still like Pokémon.
The movie is going to be a big international success. It has been designed very cleverly. It has all the right elements to make it hugely popular. Cute animals, music, comedy, voice competitions universal mania, top class actors for dubbing. What could go wrong?
P.S. The target audience is definitely not kids only...
Aware presence
Nothing funnier than a bunch of bitter adults bitching about what kids like. I loved the movie, so did my wife and granddaughters.
shareIt's really sad that all the ADULTS are using their heads to decide what their children will and will not like. My kids loved it.
shareMy kids didn't enjoy it one bit, and they loved the trailers. In fact, most kids in the theater weren't really enjoying it either. I do hope it flops because it's bloody awful.
Also, for a musical there's hardly any music in it except for the set pieces.

Hello, Ground!
First - it was not as good as despicable me or other illumination movies. But I disagree with all the rest of your comments.
My teenaged granddaughter said it was her favorite part of this Christmas. My two preteen granddaughters also loved it. You know I love when people put their own feelings out as if the rest of the world also felt the same way. It's like when politicians say something like "Americans want to know..." or "What Americans want to see is…." How do they know? They are not average people, they are privileged. They live in a big house in a gated community and make their money from other people's taxes. Me, I like this type of movie and so do many other people.
Saw it with my 12 yr. old son and 14 yr. old daughter today, they chose the movie and they both enjoyed it.
shareWell, it would seem that the movie is doing well. I took my kids to see it, ages of 7, 12, and 18, all loved it. It was quite funny and we thought the music was what made it enjoyable.
shareIt already made 76 million in just 6 days of play. It will do great at the box office and... I loved it!
