This movie is going to flop at the box office.
Kids are not idiots, and they don't like musicals.
This movie looks horrible from the trailer.

Difference is those movies have ORIGINAL songs, not crappy covers like Strange Magic.

Original or not, kids will still love the movie. It's not like they hear and remember every song there is. They're kids and what they care is mainly about the entertaining part of it.

A little hard to flop considering Illumination is always working with limited budgets. But I think it will make around the money Lorax made, or maybe less. It will be overshadowed by Disney's Moana.

Can you possibly name another musical that focuses on someone trying to make money?

Rent? Wasn't a kids movie to begin with.

The Producers? That was actually a musical about someone trying to NOT make money, but also not really a kids movie.

Were there any kids movie musicals like this?

Agreed honestly.

I think kids would like Disney classics (they have songs), the Rankin Bass specials (they're musicals) and musicals like Wizard of Oz and Singing in the Rain, the latter is actually funny, especially compared to what I saw of the trailer of this possible trainwreck.

As many people have actually seen this movie and the general consensus is that it's a lot of fun, maybe you should stop trolling it because bunnies shaking their butts offended you.

Just a thought.
