I guess they weren't all hateful. But that is another perturbance of my film. The way these people were so open with their aggression, if they were all hateful, it would be a little peculiar because hatred allows an individual to hide his aggression.
America has a real problem with haters and hate cults because there are some nice things about hating like being polite for example and not openly so mean which is why people choose that path when they get surprised by the good, and then they develop other issues which they they won't deal with... for example they get myopic and can't see the whole picture. But America really is overrun by these haters or hate cults; it's a problem.
Because these people don't see the whole picture. But if we just focused on something, there are good things like it's not so openly mean and more covert. I think people need a better understanding of all sides of hatred because then they could be more mindful of the full effect for their actions.
Hating is more covert and less likely to insult you right to your face.
Or maybe because of Tarantino's direction where things are so openly discussed, I should be thinking 'covert' for his direction.
But of course the movie was covert. Daisy was hiding her escape for example.
But when you think of why there are so many haters in America, or why so many people get manipulated by those that try to win by dumbing down society, a lot of it is because they have a pride in not telling people off right to their face and being nice. That is a big part of hatred. However it was a great movie, and Tarantino's strengths are his openness and open dialogue and pressuring situations.
So I don't know how much there is to think about there, given the potential for the movie is also based on the director's strengths, how he brings the best out, or that intensity out. But hate is not all bad and usually 'nice' to your face and when I think about it, I think he was trying to convey that. Why they were able to be so civil and respectful... But I don't know who the hateful 8 are either.
I guess it was there but they called Jackson's character the N word so much when he was a bounty hunter who loved to kill racist whites, that it kind of hate blinded me to that it was there in the movie at other parts... maybe hate blinders to the emotion of hatred being portrayed fairly or more fairly when it make so many people around us so annoying and dumb and not able to learn stuff, since people are talked to 'hating' by accepting certain customs not for a superiority, but to take a dive so some idiot can win... but that wasn't this America. They would have blown your head off if you got like that persistently for years and years...
