I like Stephen King, but the trailers for this look terribly generic and don't do anything for me. I'm sure it will be a hit with teens who are easy to scare, but I'll pass on this one.

To call this run-of-the-mill would be far too generous.
Even the jump scares weren't jumpy.
Just seen this and I agree that it’s terrible. Any attempt at building suspense or atmosphere is quickly undone by a poorly executed jump scare.
The only good bit of horror is the moon ball sequence but that was in the trailer. Seems they had no other ideas for some good scares and just made the most generic and forgettable horror film I’ve seen in a while.
Not sure why, but this gives me vibes similar to 'The Bye Bye Man'.
