I thought Crowsnest was a good one.

OP, maybe watch "megan is missing" - see what you think, be interested to see if you think it is a true FF genre!

I would like to put my pacifier in Adeles binky box!

Thanks for the list, some nice suggestions!

i don't know if LUNOPOLIS would be your kind of thing.
i enjoyed that a lot.

reply

oh, and THE WICKSBORO INCIDENT was nice, too.

The Last Exorcism is so underrated...by IMDb users. Critics liked it. Give it a chance.

This is a great list. Nice to see FF movies rated within the genre rather than compared with all other films and to see comments from people who really enjoy them instead of the usual "shaky cam movies are CRAP! Stop making them!" or "the worst movie I've seen! Give me back my 87 minutes!"

My only disappointment is that I've seen nearly all of the movies on your list! I found some that I thought I hadn't seen, only to discover they have different titles in the US and in fact I have seen them.

A couple that I haven't seen but would love to see do not seem to be available at the usual sites, like Amazon, Netflix (which is awful for FF anyway) or youtube. Where does one see Noroi, for example? I keep hearing great things about it but can't find it anywhere.

And I know I've seen Evidence (the one on your list, not the one with Stephen Moyer, although I've seen that, too), but now I have no idea where. It seems to have vanished.

Where are PA2: Tokyo Nights, Apocalyptic and 100 Ghost Street? Again, not on the sites I usually watch, which admittedly are boring mainstream sites.

Thanks for the list. It's a good one, even if I don't agree with all your ratings.

I second the recommendation in another post for The Last Exorcism. You rated it fairly low, but I loved it. One of the best, IMO.

I'm gonna throw this one out there I enjoyed it, it's half found footage half a regular movie and I though that was interesting.

Good list, I've maybe missed like 6 of them, don't agree that much with some of your ratings, but that's why they are your ratings :) I sure love found footage movies if well done and I'm pretty sure I've seen some others besides the ones on your list too :)

I just found this page, it's a keeper, treasure it! :D

I can't believe Cannabil Holocaust is nowhere on this list. Easily the most disturbing of FF movies out there and years ahead of it's time.

This is great! I don't love all FF movies, but I do like to watch them and see if they will catch me off guard.
LAKE MUNGO was AWESOME. I cannot believe I felt as creeped out as I did. The talk about the dream, and that encounter?! I definitely felt creeped out at the end of that one.

I would love to watch Noroi but can't seem to find it anywhere.

The only one I have to add is The Visit. I honestly didn't think it was all that bad, and I liked the bits of humor and sweetness in it as well.

I just finished The Taking of Deborah Logan yesterday and here I thought I was getting bored with the genre (sorry, but for me Devil's Due and The Gallows really bored/annoyed me) and then BAM this one f#$@'s me up!!

reply

We have different tastes..., I didn't like Lake Mungo, I found it boring.
You could search google for Noroi stream, I'm sure you will find it.
The Visit was definitely poor.
The Taking of Deborah Logan was a bit boring, but pretty ok, the ending was worth it.

I've seen many but personally I enjoyed the most:

The Atticus Institute
[REC] I liked all of them, but the first is the best)
The Blair Witch Project
Poughkeepsie tapes
As Above So Below
Home Movie
The Conspiracy
The Sacrament
VHS 1 and 2
The Fourth Kind
The Possession of Michael King
Apollo 18
The Borderlands
Devil's Due
Jeruzalem
