Why can a franchise liek this make a billion, but the DCEU cant?
anyone care to explain this logic to me?
shareThe DC films just suck. plain and simple. i was going to watch suicide squad but on hearing friends telling me how awful it was after they saw it completely put me off. same thing happened with batman vs superman.. although i did try and watch it i couldnt make it past 45 minutes before i had to switch it off. i think this 'word of mouth' is a big part of the downfall of the dc films.. no matter how much they try and make the films look good in ads.. once people see the film and realise how bad they are there is no stopping the downfall.
The transformers films in contrast.. people know what to expect.. they generally know its going to be a silly, dumb film, with some hope the plot might be better than the last one... they go to see big robots fight and enjoy them for what they are..
