Anthony Hopkins will star in Transformers. Sounds bizarre? Money keeps the world spinning after all, i guess.

I think he just wants to have fun and does it for his grand-grand-children.

Saying that I want to see the expression on people's faces when they see Anthony Hopkins in the new Transformers movie trailer.

Yeah, not every job is for the awards. Nice to see Bay got himself a catch with Hopkins.

I'm guessing it's a voice role. If it is then my money is on either Alpha Trion or Primus.

As for why someone as talented as him is in a movie like this? He's been acting for decades and has already proven to be a great actor so after a long successful career he can afford (reputation wise) to be in a movie like this. He's also playing it smart. Bay's movies may not have any substance other than lots of explosions, but they do bring in the money.

My money says he's the voice of Unicron.

He's playing a human. I'm pretty sure he was seen briefly in the trailer. But then again holograms are not new to this franchise.

His voice isn't menacing enough for Unicron in my opinion. He probably could've make a good Primus, though.
