Worst To First: Ranking The X-Men Movies

https://lebeauleblog.com/2017/06/02/worst-to-first-ranking-the-x-men-movies/

Hugh Jackman hung up his claws earlier this year with his final performance as Wolverine in Logan. The ending of the Jackman-as-Wolvie era got me to thinking about the X-Men movies on the whole. How do they rank when you stack em all up together?

Here, as opposed to other series tackled in the Worst To First series, the overall quality is somewhat higher. When you add together the 10 X-Men movies , 6 are very good, two are passable and the other two are a toss-up as to which is worse. Here, we will sort out the good mutants from the bad and the ugly. And of course, you will get to share your rankings as well.

1. Logan - Children of Men with claws; it's a cut above most other superhero films
2. Deadpool - excellent sense of humour and unique central character
3. X-Men - solid movie; I put it over X2 because of the Rogue-Wolverine dynamic.
4. X2 - also solid; love Nightcrawler
5. First Class - the reboot was a smart idea to breathe fresh life into the franchise
6. Days of Future Past - Quicksilver's great but there are too many plot holes for me to dig it
7. Apocalypse - I was bored and/or annoyed the whole time
8. X3 - dull and weak

I haven't seen either Origins: Wolverine or The Wolverine, so I can't rank them. Going on the trailers, I think I'd be bored.
