This movie was beyond brilliant, it's horrible that people nowadays can't realize good visual storytelling when they see it. I don't think there was anything confusing, it's based off a classic Italian fairytales, this is to me a modern day version il Decameron. Reviewers will give a tasteless piece of garbage like Batman vs Superman a 6 rating. This should have a 10.
shareIt's nothing like a children's fairytale, definitely not soft and cute like the Disney's, but for the grown ups, this is so perfectly crafted piece of art. I totally loved it, would have had no issue if it was extended for another few more minutes.

I agree that it is has been overlooked and underrated. It's also sad but maybe not surprising that it doesn't seem to have done well at the box office and seems to have made a big loss. I initially gave it an 8 but revised it to a 9. For me Pans Labyrinth which has similar dark fairytale themes is a 10 and a masterpiece. But although I love this film it falls slightly short of Pans Labyrinth in that it didn't resolve the storylines quite as well. That would be my only criticism. It is a truly great film though.

"6.4 is way to high" from somebody who can't spell a 3 letter word correctly!;

"Tale of Tales was visually beautiful, but for me the 3 intertwining stories didn't have enough meat to them." - two people actually agreed on this.
Enough said (and I won't mention that they are probably the same people who voted for Trump - oops, sorry, I just did)
Oh, so if someone doesn't align with you politically, their tastes in subjective art forms is somehow deemed to be inferior to yours? You're lambasting the intelligence of others with a blatant display of your own lack thereof.
I thought this movie sucked and it has nothing to do with my age, political affiliation or intelligence. To me, it was tedious, disconnected, rambling, incoherent nonsense that left WAY too many lose ends. Among other things.
