It's gonna involve the new Batwoman, Supergirl's sister, Black Lightning, Green Arrow's daughter & Ray Palmer.
It's gonna be called "Armageddon". Coming in November. Gave up on the CW shows a few years ago but I still tuned in for the crossover events.
But the past few have been lackluster. Especially Crisis on infinite earths. That shit was disappointing af! When I read about this one, my first thought was, Meh
I guess the CW stuff just doesn't fill me with excitement anymore.
The Apocalypse crossover will take place entirely on The Flash show. I applaud this for making life easier for us, but then, how many DC CW shows are there left? Stargirl (GREAT SHOW) just wrapped its second season. Black Lightening, Arrow, Supergirl cancelled. Superman and Lois, like Stargirl, is still rocking it beyond what the CW can usually offer and legends of tomorrow is dead, and I used to love the show. Are we going to bring in Archie? Will he fuck Batwoman? Why would he want to? Will Katie Keene show up and transform into a Meta? Will there be a crossover with The Bold Type?
I saw the first season of Stargirl & it's pretty solid. Still haven't watched Superman & Lois yet. But it's definitely on my watchlist. Heard some good things about it. Seems like forever ago now but The Flash used to be legit my favorite comicbook show.
That feels like a lifetime ago now. I stuck with the Arrowverse shows for so long hoping they'd improve but they never did. The writing was so abysmal & they just became so painful to watch
I'm at a point where these shows & their crossovers just don't excite me, at all. Not even a little bit. In my opinion, The only DC shows worth watching right now are Doom Patrol, Stargirl, Young Justice & Harley Quinn. (Can't comment on the quality of Superman & Lois until I've seen it)
This is the first time that I have zero excitement for one of these crossovers. Maybe it's cause I gave up on the solo shows or maybe cause Crisis on Infinite Earths was a major letdown. Or maybe a combination of both.
I just don't have an interest in them anymore. Also, Crisis on Earth X is still my favorite crossover.
Sorry to correct ya here but that was Felicity who basically hijacked Barry & Iris's moment/wedding. The 'Olicity' melodrama was the only blemish of that awesome crossover in my opinion.
The CW will NEVER going to equal Crisis on Earth X. Not unless they include Superman, his sons and Stargirl and the Justice Society (and maybe some reformed members of the Injustice Society). If properly written, THAT could be massive.
I keep wishing and hoping that DC moves Stargirl and Superman/Lois to Paramount+, where they don’t have to comply to a network’s Standards and Practices stipulations AND where they will be showcased to the streaming audience that has DUMPED broadcast programming.
I watch the crossovers but the excitement has faded. The toxic woke agenda has really killed these shows for me.The Flash used to be ok but the recent writing and lackluster cast additions have made me lose interest. The only 2 decent DC shows on the CW that haven't fallen victim to woke pandering yet are Stargirl and Superman and Lois. Those are the only 2 i go out my way to watch.

Definitely.

I haven't seen either of those yet, but I'll try to catch them at some point.

Stargirl was a genuine surprise. I've only managed to watch the first season but it's pretty darn entertaining. It perfectly captures the silly, camp & serious nature of comics.
Also, the teen drama doesn't feel outta place. Cause you know, they're actually teenagers. I don't know wtf the others shows excuse is for including so much melodrama
The CW shows try to be 'inclusive' and 'empowering' but they don't have the writing to back it up. The writing is so bad & the dialogue is cringe inducing.
Stuff like... making an episode about an all female team & making them say "Hastag Feminism'' over & over again, that shit just makes you roll your eyes.
Shows like Harley Quinn & Doom Patrol deal with overcoming abuse, coming out & being true to yourself in WAY better ways. They don't feel preachy or in your face.
